Telecom company enhances productivity by transforming their user interface (UI)

Outdated apps and old designs can seriously hold a company back and hinder productivity. Our client, a premier broadband connectivity and cable company, needed to upgrade their mobile app. The existing app’s outdated user interface (UI) resulted in poor user experience (UX), engagement, and appeal. Inconsistent UI elements and navigation hampered usability and task completion, while an outdated UI design prevented efficient workflows. So, UX modernization becomes important in addressing these issues and propelling an app more contemporary and productive.

 

Smart and suave app for improved user experience

Ascendion developed a native Android application by implementing UX engineering strategies for field agents and technicians. We modularized architecture for the app, resulting in enhanced performance, easier code maintenance, and faster development cycles. We employed Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for dynamic and interactive UI. We integrated third-party SDKs such as Quantum, to gather valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and interactions within the app​, and Datadog, to monitor and report crashes and address issues quickly.

  • Improved activation attempt rate from 83% to 95%
  • 99% job start and close rate
  • Overall field technician satisfaction score improved to 4.5 or higher KPIs
